Meet Scott Volyn
Scott A. Volyn has spent his career in service to the Wenatchee Valley and the people who call it home.
With 34 years of experience as a trial attorney, an active law practice, and his current role as Commissioner Pro Tem at Chelan County Superior Court, he has developed a deep understanding of how courts think, what judges look for, and what it takes to reach agreements that hold.
His mediator training through the Harvard brought a structured, principled framework to that experience. One focused on helping parties move from conflict to resolution without the time and cost of litigation.
For over 30 years, Scott has taught at Wenatchee Valley College and Central Washington University, where he explains complex legal ideas in plain language. This skill translates to educated parties making informed decisions in mediation.
Balance Point Mediation exists because this community deserves access to experienced, thoughtful mediation close to home. Scott is committed to providing it.
“Mediation is not a long tranquil river. There will be ebbs and flows, swirls, and even waterfalls to negotiate.”
— Mediation. Negotiation by Other Moves, 2021, Ch. 7, 241
